Iowa was interesting. Granted we only saw it at night in the cold and only one city. However, we watched the Omaha Lancers vs. the Lincoln Stars of the USHL. It was a great game and the Omaha Lancers won big. We got to see two fights, 6 goals, and great seats. We were one row off the glass. It was a ton of fun for a great price. It was a great introduction to Iowa. I am going to count this as being in Iowa because we will for sure have another trip not specifically to Iowa, but through Iowa I am sure. These later trips will provide the scenic views of the Iowa landscape.
After the hockey game we went to the casino in Council Bluffs called the Horseshoe. It was a lot of fun even if we did lose money. At the door I was not sure if Jen was going to be able to get in. The doorman asked for her passport because he was a bit skeptical. I mean with right reason though. How many times do you see a BC ID in Iowa?!? : P She got in however, and actually was doing extremely well in roulette and we had a good table with good people. It was a lot of fun and Iowa was one of the most relaxing parts of the trip since Jen got here.
I love watching her play roulette because she is such a people person it gets the whole table interacting : ) Can’t wait to get to Colorado for the second time tomorrow and complete the third state of three. Until then, I hope everyone had as good of a weekend as we did!!

i’m glad the casino let me in. after all, they would have been $100 shorter that night without me! hah!
what an awesome weekend. the hockey was great and your friends were awesome (as usual). i can’t wait to see Iowa again in the daytime.
