Well, the trip was quickly finished but it was a great one.  I picked up Jen on Tuesday the 16th in Denver.  We went to our hotel in downtown Denver and checked in.  Then we were picked up by my wonderful friends Kyle and Cole.  They took us to a bar in downtown by Coors Field where the Colorado Rockies play.  It was good food with a good atmosphere and great conversation.  Jen took a bit of a teasing from both Coloradans but made it through with flying colors.

We then left for Colorado again this morning.  It was quite cold and dark for most of the morning.  We drove into Longmont and Boulder County for some wonderful mountain pictures.  We also stopped at the border for a few pictures in front of the Colorado sign just to prove we were there. 

I got Jen to the airport about 3 hours early.  It was probably a good thing considering the lines and lines of people that were there.  By the way, we had the best customer service ever today from Walt.  LOL NOT!!  This is a summary of the conversation between Jen and Walt:

Walt:  Are you Jennifer Hawke?            Jen:  Yes          Walt:  May I see your passport?         Jen:  Is this bag checked all the way to Regina?

Walt:  No Reply    Walt:  Ok, thanks.    Jen:  Do I need to get my other boarding pass in Winnipeg?     Walt:  Yes, that is an Air Canada flight.

Jen:  (Looks in her hand and notices she already has the boarding pass realizing Walt has no idea what he is talking about)  Is that bag checked all the way to Regina? [for a second time and remaining extremely polite]

Walt:  It is checked all the way through…. with a dumb founded look like he already answered that question [but did not  : ) ] It was quite entertaining!!

I wish Jen the best of luck with the rest of her trip.  It was a great experience having her here with me and I could not ask for anything better than getting to cross off three out of the fifty states with her in one trip.  It was so hard to watch her head for the security line.  I must have waved bye to her at least five times not to mention the ten minute hug before she got on the escalator.  I cannot wait to see her on Saturday and this time on HER turf!!
